Borrow a wheelbarrow from our tool lending library.

At Adobe in Action we recommend basic hand tools and small power tools for the majority of owner builder projects. We do not think it is necessary for every owner builder to own the tools needed to build an adobe home. To that end, we have established a tool lending library which grows larger with each project we complete.

Step 1: Decide if you qualify

To begin the process of applying for access to our tool lending library, ask yourself the following questions to make sure you qualify for assistance:

1. Are you an owner builder? (All potential tool recipients are required to obtain their own building permits for their projects.)

2. Have you completed (or are you currently enrolled in) our Certificate in Adobe Construction program? All tool lending library recipients are required to complete our Certificate in Adobe Construction program since that is the first level of owner builder support we offer. Register for a class today!

3. Does your owner builder project align with Adobe in Action's design and construction principles?
