The kitchens and bathrooms were deceivingly time consuming steps. At this stage in the project, it felt like I was almost done. But, tiling, installing cabinets and appliances, and coordinating with plumbers and electricians proved to be challenging. Installing cabinets on an earthen floor that isn't perfectly flat took some shimming, but is definitely possible. Tiling on adobe took some creativity, requiring anchoring of a cement board layer first. I'm finally feeling like I'm in the home stretch.
