For the final steps before moving in were landscaping, grading and drainage, passing final electrical and plumbing inspections, passing the blower door test, and adding a wastewater pipe by tying into the city's sewer system. Landscaping required water catchment, which I chose to add with large cisterns, totaling about 1500 gallons of catchment. I also reseeded areas disturbed by construction, with blue grama grass seed. At the end, there were lots of inspections and coordinating with the city, electricians, plumbers, and green building consultants. After all that, I got my Certificate of Occupancy!
